The P3O standard aims to minimise the current confusion between the purpose and scope of these offices by providing definitions, structure, processes and roles for the establishment and management of the many possible P3O models. The aim of a P3O training model is to provide the appropriate support and governance required for the management of an organisation’s change initiatives. Our portfolio, programme and project office (PMO) training and certification courses are based on the P3O training guide and include a 2.5 day P3O Foundation training course and 1.5 day P3O Practitioner training course.

The P3O Foundation certification exam is completed online following the training in Melbourne and Perth by choosing from available dates and times. It is a closed book, 75 questions multiple-choice exam. The certification exam must be completed within 60 minutes and delegates must score 35 or more marks to attain certification. Please note; 5 questions are trial questions and do not contribute to the final mark.
The aim of the P3O Practitioner training is to refine and build on knowledge gained during the Foundation program and prepare the delegate for the P3O Practitioner certification exam. Further, the training will develop the delegate’s ability to apply P3O principles, functions, tools and techniques and to design and manage a portfolio, programme or project office for a given business situation.
The Practitioner exam is completed online following the training by choosing from available dates and times. It is an open book, objective style exam comprising of 4 questions with a total of 80 marks available. The exam must be completed within 2.5 hours and delegates must score 50% and above to attain the P3O Practitioner certification.
Passing the Foundation exam is a pre-requisite to Practitioner certification.
